Hello and welcome — I’m Julia, a Sydneysider, children’s book author, and creative at heart. I’m so glad you’re here in my little corner of the internet.

After years of dreaming, scribbling ideas, and quietly holding stories close, I finally took the leap at 54 and published my very first children’s book, The Speckles of Colours in My Heart. It’s a milestone that still feels both exciting and surreal. Books have always been a place of comfort for me — a way to escape, imagine, and find light during hard moments — and this story was born from that same place.

The Speckles of Colours in My Heart gently supports children (and the adults who love them) through big emotions like grief, change, and love, reminding us that even when life feels heavy, colour can still exist in our hearts.

My second children’s book, Imagine the World Was Only Two Colours. Almost in Pre sale this story invites children to explore imagination, choice, and perspective — opening meaningful conversations about differences, individuality, and seeing the world through someone else’s eyes.

Alongside my books, this space is also home to HER.

HER represents the woman who has lived, lost, loved, rebuilt, and chosen to rise anyway. Born from my own journey through grief, single motherhood, and starting again later in life, HER is about resilience, self-belief, and embracing who you are becoming — unapologetically and honestly. She is the soul behind The She Rises Collection, created to empower women at every stage of their journey.

On this website, you’ll find my books in hardback, paperback, and ebook formats, along with thoughtfully created pieces designed to comfort, inspire, and uplift. Everything here is made with warmth, intention, and heart.
